This page says what the site does with information, in plain words.
The short version
- No accounts, no signup, no email collection, no ads.
- Google Analytics counts visits only if you press Accept on the banner. If you press Decline, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set.
- The calculator runs only in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us or to Google.
What the calculator does with your numbers
When you enter applications, interviews, offers, a pace or a date, the page calculates the result on your own device. Nothing you type is sent to a server, saved, or shared. If you close or reload the page, it is gone.
Analytics, and your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics 4 to count visits. Accept and Decline are equal choices.
- Before you choose, and if you decline: the Google Analytics code is never requested, so nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set.
- If you accept: the page loads Google Analytics. It sets two first-party cookies,
_gaand_ga_854EEVBYPF, and sends page views to Google. These include the page you viewed, the time, your browser and device type, the page you came from, and an approximate location. We use this only to count visits and see which pages are read. We have turned off Google's advertising features (Google signals and ad personalization), and we do not use the data to identify you or to show you ads. - Changing your mind: use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Declining there deletes the
_gacookies and the page reloads without analytics.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name analytics-consent ("granted" or "denied"). Google processes analytics data under its own Privacy Policy. Analytics never runs when the site is tested on a developer's own computer or on a temporary preview address.
What else is stored on your device
If you use the light or dark mode button, the site saves your choice in your browser's local storage (an item named theme) so the page looks the same next time. It holds the word "light" or "dark" and nothing else. Local storage stays on your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Logs kept by the host
This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare may keep standard server logs, such as the time of a request and a network address. We do not use them to identify you, and we do not build profiles.
If you email us
If you write to hello@howmanyapplications.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to fix problems on the site. We do not sell them or share them.

Source links lead to other websites, such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Those sites have their own privacy practices that we do not control.

This site is made for people looking for work. It is not aimed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
